Neptune enters Aries Jan 26th 2026 for approximately 13 years.
This means Neptune will be doing Pisces themes in an Aries way. Pisces themes like Spirituality and religion, peace, compassion, collective masses, selfless service, escapism, the arts, the extremes of things, all in initiating action. In its basics, Aries is: desire, begin, new, start, do, act, create, the “push out from” go and do function of all of us. It’s self oriented, impulsive, it’s fight/war energy, it’s our anger and our sexual impulses. It’s independent freedom. It’s our life force, our will and energy to use in action. Passive Neptune can actually be quite bold and courageous here, the oomph that it lacked can be fed a new kind of vitality to help put its usefulness into action.
Begin, new, start, do, act, create what? Neptune themes. Neptune is associated with Pisces, so Pisces themes are highlighted. Aries has specific needs. Now, Neptune acts to satisfy those needs.
A quick look back.
Neptune has an approximate 165 year cycle around the Sun. Neptune briefly danced into Aries dipping it’s ballet pointed toes back in March 2025 and then pirouetted back into Pisces. At that time the Pope died and we got a new faith leader. (Aries=Leader/New, Neptune=Spirituality/Faith/Icon).
In the time period of Neptune in Aries in our history’s distant past we had the American Civil War. (ahem, .. cough cough .. spoiler alert. Are you seeing what's happening in the U.S.? Hopefully history won't repeat itself, but it could if it needs to.)
The inventions of the steam engine (Neptune=Water, Aries=movement action). All which helped the expansion (beyond boundaries Neptune) and exploration (Aries) of new (Aries) lands.
Dynamite too was another invention in this time period that helped with expansion as well as forcefully blasting stone for railroad tracks.
There was also the Protestant Reformation a religious movement that broke away independently from Catholicism, a “new religion” essentially. Aries and Neptune.
With Neptune there are two sides of the extremes of expression of it's energy. Every planet/sign has these potentials but Neptune/Pisces more so as its Archetype, while in Aries even more so.
Neptune symbolizes our collective unconscious and consciousness.
Things that effect all of humanity or large masses of people. Fame and icons are in this realm as are Archetypes, psychological functions all humans experience.
Neptune and Aries are essentially opposite energies but there are ways that they combine.
This is Yin in Yang.
The egoless will. Selfless action.
The transcendent human.
The military clergy person.
The Spiritual Warrior
The active humanitarian.
The narcissist and the empath relationship.
The perpetrator and victim relationship.
The dominant and passive relationship.
Let’s look deeper into the themes to be conscious of.
Identity
Aries plays a part of us that creates what we identify as, it is the “I am.” Usually the things that we actively do and use our energy towards (Aries) we tend to identify with. With Neptune in Aries is “I’m Neptune.” You may find that more people identify as a mass entity of something, “We are the World.” in addition it can be experienced yourself as, or seen in others or in large mass scale groups as:
I'm a victim. I'm a victim of abuse, war, anger, fire.
I'm an addict or I’m an alcoholic.
OR.. I'm a recovering addict or alcoholic, and being identified with these more extremely.
I'm afraid.
I'm confused
I don’t know who I am.
I'm Spiritual.
I’m a dancer, a songwriter, a poet, a painter, a film director.
I’m a medium.
It can also be:
I don't care.
I escape.
I create from imagination.
I connect and act with Spirit.
I act with compassion.
I love unconditionally.
It can also be the illusion of identity. Dissolving self/ego or extreme ego, self-centeredness. It's surrendering, letting go. It's unconditional love and compassion. It’s integrating Spirituality, healing and purity. To identify more with all of humanity as a whole.
Self illusions, parts of your self and things you identify with can dissolve or fade away or that you see clearly now as not a part of you anymore, or it was an illusion and mental belief of yourself that no longer works. OR your identity becomes foggy, you are a bit lost. Dissolving ego, or washing away certain aspects of our identity or egos that reveal something more pure.
With A.I., people see you as real or an illusion if you use it that way. You see someone talking on a video but it's not really them, but instead an AI version of them. Is what you see or hear real or fake? Identity loss and identity theft come into play here as well more on mass levels.
The topics and energies of being "identified with” either become stronger or weaker as an individual, or as a collective. It can also be seen as, on a higher perspective, to recognize that as I suffer in such and such, that others are also going through the same thing, and so there comes a compassionate consciousness that includes more than yourself in such experiences.
Spiritual Warrior
What does it mean to be a Spiritual Warrior?
This means putting your Spirituality into action. It’s action from a personal inner space. Standing up for Spiritual values. Acting from and being dedicated to Spiritual values and Natural Law that go beyond your personal desires and self survival. It’s having and doing a spiritual practice. This is a personal, individual way and orientation. This is direct, personal, experience.
For many that connect through the Spiritual realm, the aim of focus or realization, is that you are, with everything else, a part of all that is, not separated from it. It’s you AS Spirit, or channeling it like a vessel as a unique being. YOU do it. YOU engage as it. YOU are responsible for it. YOU recognize it and value it. To have the ability and to practice Spiritual ways in action. It’s when you go beyond your ego self desires and use your energy for something bigger than yourself. To love compassionately and unconditionally like a loving parent to child, it’s beyond color of the skin, where someone comes from, their class, their opinions, their country etc.
It’s global compassionate movements. To transcend the mundane daily life while also being in it, and finding the connection in everything you do. Combining Spirit and Human. Trusting life in everyday things with a larger “Higher” power of everything doing its work perfectly. The Bodhisattva is an example of this way, an enlightened being who still is in the world doing normal daily tasks while helping others also attain Enlightenment. Religious people of all faiths can ACT in their faiths in similar ways as well.
It’s being receptive to the experience of awe and transcendence in a natural setting creates a feeling of being-ness, and recognition of being alive, to witness such things that is wonderful and "awe"some. Noticing these types of experiences in our lives. It’s direct (Aries) Spiritual (Neptune) experience (Aries).
Neptune at its extreme here can be isolating away from the masses in Spiritual pursuit. It can also be “Spiritual Bypassing” by using Spirituality as an escape in itself or gaining in the identity of it without actually doing it.
Religious Action and Beginnings
Religion, although personally experienced, is more in gear for the masses of people. Neptune is also the collective consciousness and unconscious. Rules are given and followed. “Following” is another good word here. The aim of focus is that God is “out there” and you are separate from It. You follow, obey and hold and act with the religious values of your faith.
From here Neptune brings out more of the compassionate actions like charity, “Love thy neighbor,” feeding the poor, donating to larger movements that help through your community of faith. This energy helps support making your faith and religion a little more personal than you have been and then acting and using it from there and bringing that to larger aspects of your communities, states, counties etc.. This also can be things that take place on a global scale that require faith, compassion, charity and service collectively. Here we also have the actions of Saints and new “Saviors,” new religious leaders, and new religions or branches of existing ones emerge.
On the other end, Hierarchies, control, power, fear, punishment and shame are part of the themes that keep the ball rolling with masses of people and can be experienced on extreme levels. With Neptune as an extreme here in regards to religion, we get righteousness, Holy Wars, violence in relation to religion, Good vs Evil, martyrdom, religious control, repression and submission as well as the extremes that it takes to be free from that.
The Extremes of Aries
All Aries themes can be experienced at their extremes in one way or the other with this transit although Saturn will be sweeping through to hold the reins on some of this. Most will see these extremes in things that have to do with everyone, large scale masses of people. Here are themes of war, aggression, domination, impulsive action, egoic leaders, the act of one person affecting the collective, Nationalism, autonomy of countries, the expansion of them through conquering attacks. The armed forces of a country are also associated with Neptune/Pisces themes. Being of service to something bigger than yourself. Self-sacrifice. You’re not an individual in the Army, you are a collective force.
We also have aspects of the fight for unity. The peaceful warrior. Passive aggressiveness. Peaceful activism and protest is assertive peace. The huge protest march in Minneapolis. The Walk For Peace by the Buddhist monks in America to Washington DC is peace in action. As I write this from Minneapolis there is a city wide shut down in an effort to protest against how the government is overstepping their authority on American citizens and many of the action today is being lead by and with clergy members, priests, pastors, and ministry and faith leaders, all very Neptune in Aries.
The Sacred Masculine
Here is also a time that the collective consciousness of what Masculinity is can begin in a new direction. The traditional sense of what masculinity is can be more of a topic. The extremes experienced collectively can be unbounded in the themes of narcissism, acting without regard for another, physical or sexual abuse, killing, wrong use of anger, inappropriate use of sex, too independent or singular or autonomous, freedom causes problems, fighting, striking, war, dare deviling.
Topics on the Masculine “ideal“ or the disillusionment of it. Transcending the ideals of masculinity. More Masculine idealism in film, movies, music as well as themes of sovereignty, individualism, war, violence, sex, exploration, and leadership.
Opportunities for healing and compassionate action in these regards when those themes become more present and the Wounded Masculine is revealed. On the inner level, you can heal and show compassion to parts of yourself that are, or do not, express themselves in healthy “Masculine” ways.
Neptune as a healer can heal some of these aspects personally and on a global mass level. It can be asking us, both men and women, to show up as a loving protectors, space holders, being patient, embodying the “loving dad” beyond your own children and bring that it into the community, or activate that Archetypal character into your own heart for yourself when needed. It’s also doing something for another who can’t do it themselves, Using your energy, and as like a vessel, for spirit for bigger use than your own ego desires. Doing ego-less, selfless action. Directly responding compassionately. Using your energy and stamina to serve Humanity, cause or for something bigger than yourself.
Sexual Energy
Fire sign Aries is associated with sexual impulse. Sexual desire and attraction happens without thought, it’s a spontaneous happening that we don’t have control over, it just happens and our body feels it too. Then, it’s all in how we use that energy, act on it or not. We can use it for pleasure, we can abuse it, we can use it violently, we can use it for fun, we can use it to further intimacy.
Sexual energy is a creative energy. We can use it to create a child, we can use it to create something with, or as fuel for a goal, or bring something into fruition that we desire.
Neptune in Aries sexually likes fantasy, escapism, imagination, the unreal. We can also be a victim in relation to sexual activity, or be a protector of others from this kind of energy when necessary with Neptune in Aries.
With Aries as the first sign of the Zodiac it likes to initiate these kinds of sexual energies and it also has the capacity to start something with it. We can experience our sexual desire being dissolved or dampened. Water puts Fire out. Or perhaps celibacy is chosen. Sacred sexuality in all its forms is another path for Neptune here. All of this can be on a collective consciousness experience. Connect that with religion and you get opposition, anger, morals and shame and secrets and hiding. All Aries/Neptune themes.
Big Endings
In order for new beginnings to take place some endings precede. Neptune rolls out of the very last degrees of the Zodiac into the very beginning of it. Leading up to here with Saturn and Neptune about to cross that mark we've seen the ending of iconic things like the U.S. penny, MTV, death of a Pope, the dissolving of long standing government agencies and leaderships as well as the physical destruction of the U.S. White House.
What kinds of endings are happening within you? What sort of "structures" have you built up and lived with for years be dissolved? Be conscious of creating space. Be compassionate towards your losses. Have faith that new ways are opening.
The New Dream
What have you always dreamed of doing? What excites you to begin for and initiate? Take inspired action. Your imagination is where things start, use it, feel it, play and experiment with it in your imagination. When concentration is singular and your belief is unwavering, magical things happen. Imagine and feel it first. All things you see that are man made, came from someone's imagination first. Out of nothing, something. Act in and as the dream.
It can also be the process of getting out of your own way and allowing Spirit to work through you and to be receptive to what comes and what the Universe inspires you to do and calls you to act on. A vessel for creativity to work through you. A vessel as an agent of Spirit for something.
Some other themes that also come to mind:
Collective heat
Hot water
The Desert Mystic
Extreme sports (Alex Honnold climbing the skyscaper in Taipei)
More prominent exploration of sea and space that makes world news.
Have a good Journey,
Christopher
