Double"Vision":Beyond Words

ree

Words, names, language.

We give meaning to words. Words help us communicate with each other more precisely. A word can have more than one meaning. Words are in the element of separating things. Words are a secondary thing.

Naming of things temporarily removes them from the Unity of all there is. We can use a Gemini/Sagittarius axis "double-vision" a dual (Gemini) essence, to go beyond words (Sagittarius).

There's no such thing as a rose. We call it a "Rose," we give it a name. In that instant it's like we “pluck” it from the Universe. We remove it in a sense. It individuates. “A rose.”

Not only do we take things from the environment in this way, but we also give them meaning. A Rose: Love, the heart, beauty, passion, romance etc., and with it as well, a feeling.

The saying goes, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

What do people call you? What's your name? Are you "Stephanie?"

Are you "Jake?" Your name gives you a sense of individuality. It’s the first thing we get on entering this world. When we separate from our mothers. Some babies get named with something that is meaningful. Many names, when traced back, come with … more.

With the use of "double-vision" we can recognize the individual appearance of a rose, take in its symbolic, meaningful, personal wisdom as a gift, and return as such, while also understanding that it is not separate from all there is.

The old Zen saying “returns the flower” with, "First there is a mountain. Then there is no mountain. Then there is."

All "things" first are nameless.

In Native American folklore the trickster Coyote (Gemini) played a part in giving names to things. Language and communication come with Mercury and Hermes in classic Mythology. All gifts to Humanity. It's useful.

Beyond words is intuition.

Beyond words is the silent knowing and the inner wisdom, just knowing.

Beyond words is also understanding and experiencing without logic, without the inner talk, without explanation, just pure in the moment experience.

Symbols speak without words, we go beyond the visual, and access a meaning.

Some symbols are Universal in their meaning, no language is necessary. No matter who you are, where you come from, or live, or what language you speak, we can all understand it.

There is no "mountain." Complete reality.

"Show me where the valley ends and the mountain starts," you'd hear a Zen master say.

Where does your arm start from your chest?

There is no real separation yet to be and operate and communicate in this world we follow in recognizing it as a Mountain or an arm. We can play along.

We are lucky to have the ability to get meaning from things. To extract meaning and gems of relatable insight. To bring and give meaning to them. To take things further.

Mythology, Archetypes and Astrology, art, music, and poetry among others things, magnetize us to meaning. Big things such as the mountain, or the planets, or little things like a human and the rose, all come with something more. Meaning. With things we can expand their dimension. From our perspective all are objective cosmic nurturing guides. Then we put them back.

Let's take this even further with objectivity. Both things work together.

When enlightenment comes from objectivity, it's as if the individuation we apply to something with a name is necessary, as a conscious way, as a necessary process of Enlightenment. The realization of being Oneness itself, doesn't happen without the separation, or the "ego" to activate it. In order for that conscious recognition we must experience ourselves as separate from it, hence the ego experience.

With the two, this “objective dynamic,” consciousness recognizes Itself. This is Self-realization. The Journey from Source, to individuation and the "ego" and then back to Source, is the theme of life and death, of becoming and returning, of Pisces to Aries back to Pisces on the Zodiac wheel, the wave becoming and receding back to the ocean. We can activate the Sagittarian Quest throughout the day, when we recognize, "extract," and "put back" things while retaining the valuable wisdom of the gold gem'd cup, that “Holy Grail" or that “Philosophers Stone” and go along with our day.

The third unseen point created here with the Gemini/Sagittarius axis is an enlightened unspoken wisdom. A meaningful knowingness that we can access through just about anything we "extract" or observe from the environment, from Unity, from what we see, name and interact with. "Tat Tvam Asi," in Sanskrit “You are that,” The walking understanding that even though appearances are seemingly separate from you, and you feel as if separate from everything else, you are ultimately, all that is. The meaning of things “outside” you touches inner aspects of yourself.

In addition, when we give meaning to something a certain belief can come with it like how a good luck charm is used. The belief is invisible. How the symbol of the cross, for example, is used as a vehicle, or an access point of attention that carries with it a powerful belief and religion that goes beyond just two pieces of wood. Meaning magnifies. Meaning makes things bigger and more. We see better. We're the magnifine glass.

Belief has power. It’s believing in and carrying with us, this personal magical wisdom, or belief, that gets discovered and works with us in broader ways when we touch on personal meaning. With meaning comes a certain consciousness and a certain “connection” and relationship to the Cosmos that is always at our fingertips or as far as the eye can see. We touch the Void and it means something to us, it opens up our world.

Have a good Journey,

Christopher
