New Moon in Leo

The Sun births a New Moon in Leo. Cue Simba from “The Lion King” animated movie, being lifted up and presented by its elders of the pride for all of the Animal Kingdom to see and recognize. The becoming of a new, powerful, leader.
YOU can be that leader unto yourself, activate and use your inner Leo energies to guide yourself. Use your will and lead yourself, and others. Be an example that others can follow. A new you emerges, transformed to be this new way..
With a New Moon in Leo, opposing Pluto in Aquarius this is certainly the big lead role, the “star of the show” as the curtain opens, but in the spirit of synthesis with Mars in Virgo, and the general theme of this New Moon chart, there’s more to it than the “Star.” The star of the show is a part of the play; others as well play a part and make this play a hit. So with this chart in mind, let’s wrap this all together, while also including its parts, its “co-stars” and “supporting roles,” who play just as an important part to this ever unfolding story.
The Star: The Sun and Moon in Leo (loud vibrant applause)
The Villain: Pluto opposing the New Moon (boooo, .. hissssss, thumbs down)
Co-star: Mercury retrograde in Leo
Supporting Role: Uranus in Gemini
Action Scene Characters: Mars conjunct the South Node of the Moon Square Venus in Gemini
The Underdog: Chiron in Aries
The big operatic Emotional Aria Singer: Jupiter in Cancer. (It ain’t over till the fat lady sings!)
The Conducted Symphony in the pit: Saturn conjunct Neptune in Aries
………….
We can also view this luminary New Moon placement with its aspects in another way as well. With Venus and Uranus in Gemini we have options right?!
The star of our show loves the attention, yes, except this performer isn't playing a fantasy role, they are playing themselves, like a biopic with the lead role being played by the actual person. Here is the creation of a full production story of their personal transformation and triumph. Think of rapper Eminem who played himself in “8 Mile,” or the famous baseball player Jackie Robinson in “The Jackie Robinson Story.” A “see how far I’ve come” theme or a projection of how someone is usefully unique in society in powerful inspirational ways through struggle and striving in the public eye, but also a “what can I do from here?” vibe.
The Moon represents our Ego, the Sun is our identity, both are together in Leo, the Sun's favorite spot. It wants to shine. You could say the Sun “upstages” the Moon here as they say in theater, meaning it takes all the glory from another.

The New Moon in Leo. The curtain of the stage opens. It’s the quarterback hike in American football. The beginning of a play. The Lion's roar starts this new Moon's journey. The lion’s roar starts many MGM Hollywood films actually, with inspiring regal trumpets. DAHT-dada-DAAAH! The lead role on the stage certainly wants the attention and applause.
Be inspired by your personal wounds to transform that energy in a fiery heat to burn things off for self-improvement. Speak to yourself inwardly in a loving way. There is a good deal of shadow projection to be aware of here as well. What are you judging in others? What triggers you?
Democracy versus autocracy. The “No Kings” movement and awareness in America has very much been a spotlight energy currently. Hot/cold. Power struggles and control issues, my way/our way, domination, confrontation. Tug-of-War. Old safe way or courage forward way? Feel the fear and do it anyway. Ego inflation or authenticity? Obsession of self. Are you too self involved to understand or know the needs of others? The actual need that you could provide in a bigger collective way with your uniqueness? Needing public attention and validation from the group, community, society, country. What does the King say when he addresses his people who are subservient? … “MY people.” Negative attention or positive attention? Performer and the audience. Charisma needs people. Authenticity does not.
This energy can be like the “I don’t need to please you” attitude of famous Jazz musician Miles Davis performing to his audience with his back turned (Mercury Retrograde in Leo), as he blew his trumpet to those who waited in heightened anticipation but were not happy. Ego individual versus group.
Societal manipulation or manipulation from its leader or a performer as well. Composer Igor Stravinsky, performing his Rites of Spring symphony, started a riot in the theater because it was so uncomfortable and emotionally tense, his music and performance confronted the audience who soon turned violent. Jim Morrison of The Doors likewise, could make a crowd go berserk with his performed lyrics. Even Elvis with his forbidden sexual moves enticed a crowd of people to disgust,.. or lust.
You can transcend these now conscious energies when you spot them out in the world, the “lower” expressions of Leo, or your Shadow elements you'd rather not see or give attention to. Both your inner and outer worlds can be embraced and integrated and given a place of compassionate attention. Show up as such, choose that, anew, transformed self. Some Ego burn-off action for a new you. Embody higher expressions of Leo and integrate that into the community. Create something from that new energy. Express yourself from this new standpoint forward.
Heart, generosity, inspiration, lifting others up, confidence, leadership. Remember in Shakespeare’s play “Henry V,” who came down off his throne and high horse (literally), to walk amongst his community as a peer to gather information, to improve his leadership, to understand what was needed for the good of all. He disguised himself (a humble Ego cloak you could say) to do so.
It’s also The Lion in the “Wizard of Oz” starting his new life with his new found courage. His transformed self from the realization of this new part of himself.
This New Moon in Leo is also very close to the position of Mars opposite Pluto when Pope Leo was being chosen to become the new Pope. Developments with him in connection to the collective, global, humanitarian, society can be more activated.
Contribute your individuality and self-expression into the community, listen to others. Make adjustments. Unique usefulness in society. Refine your skills. Edit. Collaborate. Use constructive criticism wisely for self-improvement. Self-mastery. Integrity. Recognize how you show up in the world. New lion courage. Showing up authentically. Realizing your inner worth and self validating for inner strength.
What, in you, is wanting attention? Be aware of the things that trigger you, trigger your wounds, that trigger parts of yourself you’ve buried and don’t like to see. This is projection. You see it in others, in all kinds of your relationships and in society as a whole, your groups, your country. Be a witness to that, and learn from them. Your deep, shadow self, reveals itself in this way, giving you the objective awareness of what is begging for you to be conscious of, and express, in a new way, and be transformed. These aspects of ourselves are meant to be seen and let go of, to subtract from yourself, sculpt out with a scalpel. Ego doesn't like that. The tantrums arise. “Eruptions.” Explosive expressions of anger. Aspects of sexual awareness themes. Issues and challenges with control, manipulation, will force, assertiveness, leadership capabilities and the expression that comes under these circumstances and experiences.
Look at how you’ve chosen to transform yourself or how something in life has brought you to this point of revealing, of newness. “Look at me now.” A liberation of sorts. An improvement to move forward with.
Birth yourself forward with a new way of being, with courage. To make choices with that courage. Using courage as your compass to steer into and towards to use this power effectively. To use your heart and generosity and authenticity. Choose courage when life gives you experiences that trigger your wounds. Lift others up with the warmth that is felt within you when you yourself have used that courage in situations that others may be experiencing that you are familiar with. Your unique fire energy is useful in society. (This is the part in the play of the inspirational monologue.)
