Happy Birth Day

The Winter solstice is the darkest day in the northern hemisphere with a turning point that starts the increase of more light in the day. From darkness, the light increases like a rebirth from the dark night of the soul. The birth of light as represented symbolically by celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, a Light, a symbol of consciousness, a gift to Humanity as some may say. Hanukkah as well is at the time of the Winter Solstice bringing more light by lighting new candles. From the dark to light, and light increases.

Here marks the beginning of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere.

In Winter it's cold, we go inside, a certain kind of restriction and contraction, a time of inner contemplation, hibernation, an incubation for our social presence and use. Sun is the start from this point that will bring coming warmth and heat in time, in the months to come, melting to reveal what's underneath and our purpose to be of use in the world.

Capricorn Season

A beginning point, Capricorn, is a "Cardinal" sign in Astrology that means new, beginning, it initiates, starts, leads, jumps in, goes for, does and acts for the long term. It's the starting point to reach a goal. The sun leads the way as it rises, bursting ambitious consistency towards achievement to its highest high.

We all are birthed as gifts. Consciousness arrives as a particular you, meant for humanity, meant to experience, even just for a moment, this world. We arrive to begin a new Journey as a unique expression of the Universe. To grow and learn and to experience the Human experience in ALL its emotional and physical ways. Everyone else even, an extension of Humanity, of Nature itself.

The birth of light, comes in many ways. It can come out from a very dark time in our lives and not just once.

The birth of light is also physical birth from the darkness of the womb. Even the word “contractions” that women experience just prior to birth is a Saturn (the planet associated with Capricorn) theme. Birth is creativity expressed in physical 3D form. Woman with spirit there in was a container for the baby, and then the birthed baby a container for spirit as well. Souler purpose increases from the incubation. The gaining of stronger light as our lives progress.

Christmas celebrates the symbolical representation of conscious awareness, light, birth. Why is not Mary, the mother of Jesus, more prominently celebrated at this time along with the Christ child? Suffering at birth, suffering at death. Perhaps Christmas season can be celebrated not only as the birth of Jesus, but as the celebration of the act, experience and wonder of birth itself, Mother/ Child and this moment of new life and separation.

A Separation Celebration! In order for us to be as individuals, there must be this separation, this birth out of, or from. Birth is a seemingly "separation" from a source, the beginning of an individual consciousness.

From Aries in Astrology, another beginning point, we, over time, become more conscious of ourselves as a separate being, (a baby, although separated from mom still feels the oceanic vibe of being a part of everything) the ego evolves and grows us within an environment and we individuate and feel as separate and individual.

As we grow, we experience, we gain, we mature and become that from which we can lend our energy and essence and our light as part of a society - Capricorn (and Saturn). We lend our purposeful light as a role in society. YOU are embodied as a "gift" in a way that no other can represent or give from as playing a unique role within society. Capricorn is the adult version of that birthed child. Also with Capricorn, the birth of being a parent and adulthood.

The birth of consciousness can also happen every single day when we become aware of aspects of ourselves that have been unconscious, in the dark. We become awake. Awake from sleep means that we acted out life patterns over and over without even a thought as things seem so natural to us, even unhealthy behaviors. When something happens all of the sudden or we choose to look at ourselves, look within, see a therapist,  learn from a partner, or a teacher, in our lives, we become conscious of part of ourselves we did not see. These points of self-awareness are births of consciousness. Astrology too is what does this birthing, making the unconscious, conscious.

So happy birthday Light! What can you shed more light on and be aware of within yourself? How are you embodying your own light in the world? And also with Capricorn, make it a successful WIN-ter worth striving your essence for while also supporting others towards their personal wins as well.

As light is born again

Shadows grow in form

Aligning to a rhythm that is beyond the norm,

Thirsty we are.

This night requires rest

Long overdue

Sleep, babe, dream

Till you feel things through

Haven´t you felt?

A wholeness beyond physical form.

I take care

Firmly caress

The strings attached to your zealousness

When time is ripe

You’ll hit your stride

Remember I am the ground on which you stand

Spotting time in a grain of sand.

Sleep, babe, dream

Till you feel things through

Reconcile your rhythm,

I am always with you.
