Energy Report

Here is the energy report interpretation for the Cancer New Moon.

This is the start from the Zodiac sign Cancer. Its cycle from there will continue into Leo season. Cancer is associated with The Moon, Mother, family, the home, the past and nostalgia, comfort food. It’s also our emotions, feelings, feeling others, tending to with care, absorbing, safety, comfort, the nest. In addition it is our private selves, our core self, our inner identity you could say with all social masks removed.

On another element this sign’s natural placement in the Zodiac represents a time when one is presented with a choice to move forward with courage or stay out of fear. It’s a threshold point that can be the push out of the nest and into broader horizons beyond comfort zones.  It’s about accessing your own inner security within yourself. At this time there can be more involvement with the past and remembering, nostalgia, redoing things or having to go back and change something to start anew or in a new way, it’s reaching back to go forward. That energy can be in play having to do with past relationships. You’ll want to consciously take notice of these themes around this time as well as the themes below.

Cubby Bears

The bear den “holds space” for the development, growth and new wildness of the baby cubs. This is an unselfish "Motherly Love” energy kind of love. Mother or parent says, "I've made you strong ENOUGH. From here, YOU have to move forward." When expansive and big Mama Bear takes the cubs out on their first walk, they go beyond the comfort and safety of the den. Every adventure starts from home. The cubs are both joyful, yet scared, eager and curious and risky. They have new experiences, new choices. They have playful fun. Everything is extrasensory. They fumble and make adjustments as they proceed. 

There's teachings and learning of survival and sustainability from Mama Bear. The Bear in North  American native folklore is the medicine animal, “Makwa” and is associated with healing, health and is a protector and teacher. It knows what to eat to heal itself. Mama Bear teaches its cubs and each cub comes into its own, they develop themselves, their confidence, their individuality and gain more courage and independence. With that they separate and leave the den to be on their own. New structures of reality form from here moving forward.

Beginners Mind 

Think about also, a young student, who in their thinking and problem solving, can miraculously come up with a new solution that someone who had been spending decades working on something couldn’t solve. There's an element of naivety and imagination that doesn't have all the mental and societal rules in place yet or restrictions that is freeing for a mind to play with, there’s less doubting, less self criticism. It's not attached to a way something has to be or a tradition or what's right or wrong. This is a Zen phrase. In Zen, it's approaching things with a "beginners mind." It can be a curiosity that leads back to the core of something. It can be being open to experiencing something without the mind getting in the way, pure "being with," in the moment experiencing. Beginners Mind comes before labeling, naming and categorizing. It's the first, immediate, and direct, experience.

Your Start of the Day

In the morning, at home, you take care of yourself to get ready for the day. You do it in your own personal way. You nourish yourself. You start here with your personal, private self. People don't see that, it's before your public day out in the world.  You push off from there, you take it with you, you return to it. You are the constant inner center of your daily cycles from Sun up to Sun down. Take care of that. "Clean up" in this area of your daily life.

It's also what you do first for a performance. Tuning your guitar before a performance. Setting your core, your instrument. Stretching. Getting into the "zone." Adjusting for optimal performance. What you give to an audience, comes from a special place inside you and people feel that. It's a special kind of communication.

Powerful Expression and Objective Social Awareness

Art is often a mirror of society, an expression of what is happening that draws attention and emotion. In many ways artistic expression in its many ways is meant to be seen, to connect back to the people to return back to them. Connect your purpose and talent with a social community need. There can be powerful social recognition.

It's also cool that the World Cup is happening as it is on the world's stage of attention and the intensity and emotion that comes with these games involving countries from around the world and us as spectators globally.

Deeper unconscious elements of yourself can be seeking expression. Dig deeper into the motivations that fuel the needs of certain kinds of attention you seek or ponder why you do the things you do out of habit.

Transform larger collective societal tragedies with love action and generosity.

This is also a good time to plan your dying will or anything having to do with your legacy or maybe you are dealing with someone else’s in the family.

Be aware of big power flexing from the government, the boss, upper management, top of the pyramid on down.

Like drudging up from a fishing line that was cast out with a weight that you pull up and all of the weeds and muck from the bottom of the lake get pulled up to the surface. The darker, ugly, “seedy underbelly” as they say gets its light . This could pertain to yourself but projected outwardly especially to political figures, leaders or people in governmental capacities in bigger ways..

Independence

We are at big push off points for freedom, independence or rebellious action. Here is a time to act from your personal uniqueness and individuality. Embrace doing things on your own. Act willfully for personal transformative change. This can also be future forward action that is sparked from a past happening because of a sudden “ah-haa” breakthrough moment, or because of the timing of miraculous new information.  Here is a good support for change out from habitual security patterns that no longer serve you.
